July 15, 2012 At Conner Prairie

Grandson Jordan’s violin teacher who plays for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra gave him two tickets to this weekend’s concert at Conner Prairie.  That’s the summer venue for the symphony.

He invited me to go with him.

Stefan jackiw, whom Jordan esteems above Joshua Bell, played the violin concerto “Scottish Fantasy” by Max Bruch.

Since this event celebrated Indianapolis Sister Cities in Germany, Italy, England, Brazil and Taiwan, the program featured international music.

What a pleasant way to spend an evening — a grandson, good music, and dusk.
